Does this sound familiar?
Something is wrong. You can feel it, but you can’t quite put a finger on it. Your people are showing up, but they’re not really there. Your best people are going quiet or quitting. Meetings feel flat and performance isn’t what it should be. You’ve tried a few things but nothing’s worked. You’re losing engagement, energy, and talent and you don’t know why.
Here’s how I work
Step 1: We talk
You tell me what you’re seeing. I listen, not just to the symptoms, but to what’s underneath them.
Step 2: I diagnose
I conduct a thorough diagnostic. I ask the right questions, of the right people, in the right way. I find what’s really going on.
Step 3: We fix it
Only once we know the real problem do we decide what’s needed — whether that’s coaching, training, a culture intervention, or something else entirely. Nothing is prescribed before it’s understood.
What changes when the real problem is found and fixed?
☑ Your people are engaged and take ownership
☑ Performance improves without burning people out
☑ Your best people stay

Why work with me?

Most leaders I work with want to create great working environments for their teams. However, good intentions don’t always translate into a culture where people thrive and perform. And when they don’t, it hurts the business.
Turnover, burnout, disengagement and stalled growth all have a financial toll. That connection between the cost and organizational culture is almost always there. I find it. I fix it.
I’m Anita Stephen, a qualified lawyer, culture and leadership consultant, and author of A Cup of Kindness (Penguin Random House SEA, August 2026).
Over two decades, I have worked across law, organizational development and leadership – where I have designed and delivered culture and capability programmes for senior executives across banking, energy, government, and international development. I have conducted needs analyses and led leadership programmes across 160 countries.
My training in litigation has taught me to ask the right questions to get to the root of a problem. That instinct is at the core of everything I do today.
I work globally and remotely. I bring a unique perspective to this work. As a Global South practitioner with experience across organizational culture in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the West, I understand the challenges of context, leadership and people dynamics. This means I meet you and your organization where you are, not where trends say you should be.

Ellis Lee
CEO, Kingsley International School

“When Anita joined us at Kingsley International School, we were navigating challenges that affected team cohesion and overall engagement. What impressed me immediately was her ability to ask incisive questions and quickly uncover the underlying issues. Her diagnostic approach was both rigorous and empathetic, combining professional depth with genuine sensitivity.
The clarity Anita provided gave us a far more accurate understanding of our organisational dynamics and highlighted the areas requiring attention. Even as we continue to act on her recommendations, the value of that insight is undeniable.
For leaders who sense that something is amiss within their organisation but struggle to articulate it, I wholeheartedly recommend Anita. She brings analytical precision, warmth, and a rare gift for revealing what others overlook.”
